Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under the guidance of AV Supervisor and within the limits of the established Rixos Hotels policies and Operational Standards Manual, responsibilities include providing efficient, personalized, courteous, and punctual service with technical expertise. Work collaboratively to ensure all AV equipment is in good working condition.

MANDATORY (ISO IMS) COMPLIANCE: All employees are responsible for adhering to the ISO Integrated Management System, including Quality, LQA, Environment, Health, Safety & Risk Management policies, procedures, manuals, SOPs, and other legal requirements. Participation in risk management, environmental impact assessments, pollution prevention, energy and water saving initiatives, and quality enhancement is strongly encouraged.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Diploma / Certificate in Electrical or Audio Visual fields.

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in a similar role.

Other: Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure all AV equipment is clean and properly maintained.
2. Install, set up, and configure audio-visual equipment, including projectors, microphones, sound systems, lighting, video monitors, cameras, and video conferencing systems.
3. Ensure all equipment is properly connected and functional before events or presentations.
4. Operate and control AV systems during events, ensuring high-quality sound and visuals.
5. Manage live audio mixing, video switching, and lighting during events.
6. Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal AV equipment performance.
7. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with AV systems and equipment.
8. Arrange repairs for faulty equipment as needed.
9. Provide technical support to event organizers, presenters, and users of AV equipment.
10. Assist with setup and operation during live events to ensure smooth delivery.
11. Collaborate with event coordinators, IT teams, and other stakeholders to meet specific event needs.
12. Manage AV equipment inventory in cooperation with team members.
13. Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
14. Document setup configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
15. Be aware of recreation facilities, evening programs, shows timings, and concepts.
16. Manage sound checks and stage setup for bands or singers, including rider requirements.
