The key objectives for this role are:

  • Monitoring deliveries and optimizing logistics routes for efficiency.
  • Communicating with carriers and freight forwarders to address delays or disruptions.
  • Analyzing shipping data to identify trends and improve operational performance.
  • Collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Overseeing stock levels and ensuring materials arrive as scheduled.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Perform material and process projects.
  • Address materials and process concerns from suppliers, manufacturing, and customers.
  • Provide material information and data to Engineering.
  • Update material and specifying processes.
  • Analyze materials concerning manufacturing, products, suppliers, and customer concerns.
  • Determine required material quantities and stock levels.
  • Create inventory levels for each item category (raw material, work in progress, finished goods).
  • Monitor material requirements and adjust plans as needed.
  • Develop and implement material planning strategies to meet production schedules.
  • Conduct inventory audits and control procedures.
  • Use forecasting techniques to predict material needs based on production and sales data.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to incorporate market trends into planning.
  • Adjust forecasts based on actual data.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Update material specifications and processes as needed.
  • Analyze data on material usage, inventory, and supplier performance.
  • Prepare reports on material planning metrics and KPIs.
  • Ensure all work complies with documented procedures and work order systems.
