Job description

Job Purpose

Manage nuclear plant modification and commercial site projects and implement project management activities within the governance framework, in collaboration with stakeholders, to ensure nuclear safety, employee safety, environmental protection, and project delivery as per schedule and budget.

Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability

• Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance.

Activities include:

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Ensure commitment to a culture of continuous improvement by eliminating waste, following operations procedures, practicing innovation, problem solving, and teamwork; complying with Quality Management System policies and procedures; providing and receiving constructive feedback, and striving to meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.

• Ensure commitment to the Nawah Fundamentals.

Project Management

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Manage respective project team(s) to ensure projects are managed within the governance framework and will meet project success criteria.

• Manage projects through all phases and Stage Gate approvals to ensure performance against budget and successful delivery by:

  • Developing project scope, work breakdown, deliverables, and documentation.
  • Planning for project team, facilities, and resources.
  • Providing management updates.
  • Developing communication plans and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensuring project execution standards are met.
  • Managing project risks.
  • Reviewing changes and obtaining approvals.
  • Conducting post-project closeout activities.

• Reflect project management best practices to ensure excellence.

• Coordinate successful delivery of plant modifications and projects to meet business objectives.

Project Controls and Scheduling

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Support development of project schedules and monitor performance against baseline.

• Collaborate with Site Project Controls & Scheduling team to ensure integration into maintenance and outage schedules and verify accurate estimating and risk analysis for budgets.

Health, Safety, Environment, Security, and Business Continuity

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Personal responsibility for safety; follow HSE policies and procedures; report hazards; avoid misuse of workplace safety and environmental protections.

• Follow security policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

• Adhere to Business Continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption during incidents.

People Management

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Contribute to the development of UAE National employees.

Professional Certifications

Minimum: N/A

Maximum: Project Management certifications such as PMI, APM, MSP, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Engineering; 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Or equivalent as per HR procedures.

Maximum: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Science, or relevant field; 8+ years managing plant projects, with experience across all project phases and complex plant maintenance planning.
