The Data Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and protecting organizational data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. This role involves designing and implementing effective data management policies, monitoring database performance, and supporting users with data-related needs.
Design, implement, and maintain data management systems and databases.
Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility across platforms.
Perform regular data quality checks, backups, and recovery processes.
Collaborate with IT, business units, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and optimize data workflows.
Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
Maintain documentation for data processes, policies, and procedures.
Enforce data governance standards and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Provide support and training to end-users on data systems and tools.
Assist with data migration, integration, and transformation projects.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Administrator, Database Administrator, or in a similar role.
Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
Knowledge of data security, backup, and recovery best practices.
Familiarity with data visualization, analytics, and reporting tools is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing.
Certification in database or data management tools (e.g., Microsoft SQL certification).
