The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrading of electrical systems in various residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. A strong understanding of UAE safety regulations and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting are essential.
Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced and dependable Electrician to join one of our leading construction clients in Abu Dhabi. The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrading of electrical systems in various residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. A strong understanding of UAE safety regulations and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting are essential.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting, circuits, and fixtures.
Handle both high and low voltage electrical systems.
Install switches, circuit breakers, outlets, panels, and appliances.
Ensure work complies with local and international electrical codes.
Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical systems.
Diagnose faults using electrical testing tools and fix issues efficiently.
Replace or repair faulty components including fuses, relays, switches, and wiring.
Minimize downtime and service interruptions during repair work.
Upgrade electrical systems to meet evolving safety standards and energy efficiency goals.
Modify or extend existing wiring, panels, or circuits as per project needs.
Adhere to all health, safety, and electrical regulations.
Install safety systems like grounding, surge protection, and circuit protection.
Conduct safety checks to ensure compliance with UAE building codes.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
Assist in planning electrical systems for new installations or renovations.
Understand and assess client electrical needs.
Offer expert guidance on system improvements and energy-saving methods.
Explain technical work clearly and professionally to non-technical clients.
Quickly identify root causes of system failures and implement solutions.
Respond promptly to emergency repair calls and power outages.
Work in tandem with project managers, engineers, and other trades (plumbers, HVAC technicians, etc.).
Ensure coordinated execution of MEP systems on construction sites.
Maintain daily logs and detailed reports of work completed.
Track inventory of tools and materials, ensuring availability for ongoing tasks.
Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized.
Dispose of electrical waste in accordance with environmental and safety guideline
Minimum 2 3 years of hands-on electrical work experience in the UAE or GCC.
Technical certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (e.g., ITI, City & Guilds, NVQ).
Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes and safety standards.
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and blueprints.
Experience in both residential and commercial systems preferred.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.).
Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
Electrical fault diagnosis and repair
