Job description

The overall scope of the Assistant Director of Marketing is to promote Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah and its outlets as the market leader through effective marketing activities, ensuring compliance with the Kempinski brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Create, plan, coordinate, and implement marketing activities.
  2. Protect the Kempinski brand and enhance brand awareness.
  3. Proactively promote rooms, F&B outlets, conferences, events, and other revenue-generating activities.
  4. Plan and develop promotions and packages in collaboration with relevant departments, incorporating a multi-channel approach.
  5. Conduct regular competition analysis and review the positioning of key revenue areas.
  6. Understand market trends and target customers to develop appropriate campaigns and maximize revenue.
  7. Liaise with agencies for campaign delivery (Marketing, PR, Creative, Brand).
  8. Manage the marketing budget, monitor actual vs. planned expenses, and recommend reallocations as needed.
  9. Oversee content development for offline and online activities.
  10. Develop the hotel’s media and marketing plan.
  11. Determine ROI for marketing campaigns and review response rates for continuous improvement.
  12. Implement all marketing activities, including collateral creation, promotions, advertising, market analysis, and photoshoots.
  13. Coordinate direct marketing efforts on- and offline, maintaining the guest database.
  14. Regularly update hotel information on various platforms to ensure relevance.
  15. Develop annual content plans across all channels, including website, GHA, newsletters, and social media.
  16. Supervise photoshoots, develop shot lists aligned with brand goals.
  17. Create and maintain promotional collateral and giveaways.
  18. Ensure proper storage and distribution of images and content.
  19. Provide website content adhering to Corporate Identity guidelines.
  20. Review and approve creatives timely with General Manager and Corporate Marketing.
  21. Coordinate with Corporate Marketing and agencies to meet deadlines.
  22. Maintain updates on Corporate Marketing guidelines and share with colleagues.
  23. Contribute ideas for promotional events and activities.
  24. Lead monthly marketing meetings to discuss future campaigns.
  25. Proactively promote all revenue-generating activities like rooms, F&B, banquets, and conferences.
  26. Share best practices via my.kempinski for inter-hotel learning and motivation.
  27. Conduct market and competitor analysis regularly, monitor trends.
  28. Stay updated on marketing tools and trends, making recommendations to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  29. Monitor sales and marketing results, proposing corrective actions as necessary.
  30. Participate in sales and marketing training programs.
  31. Keep abreast of hotel activities, promotions, and rates.
  32. Perform additional duties as needed to support business and hotel needs.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Preferably experience in an international, luxury five-star hotel.
