The overall scope of the Assistant Director of Marketing is to promote Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah and its outlets as the market leader through effective marketing activities, ensuring compliance with the Kempinski brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, plan, coordinate, and implement marketing activities.
- Protect the Kempinski brand and enhance brand awareness.
- Proactively promote rooms, F&B outlets, conferences, events, and other revenue-generating activities.
- Plan and develop promotions and packages in collaboration with relevant departments, incorporating a multi-channel approach.
- Conduct regular competition analysis and review the positioning of key revenue areas.
- Understand market trends and target customers to develop appropriate campaigns and maximize revenue.
- Liaise with agencies for campaign delivery (Marketing, PR, Creative, Brand).
- Manage the marketing budget, monitor actual vs. planned expenses, and recommend reallocations as needed.
- Oversee content development for offline and online activities.
- Develop the hotel’s media and marketing plan.
- Determine ROI for marketing campaigns and review response rates for continuous improvement.
- Implement all marketing activities, including collateral creation, promotions, advertising, market analysis, and photoshoots.
- Coordinate direct marketing efforts on- and offline, maintaining the guest database.
- Regularly update hotel information on various platforms to ensure relevance.
- Develop annual content plans across all channels, including website, GHA, newsletters, and social media.
- Supervise photoshoots, develop shot lists aligned with brand goals.
- Create and maintain promotional collateral and giveaways.
- Ensure proper storage and distribution of images and content.
- Provide website content adhering to Corporate Identity guidelines.
- Review and approve creatives timely with General Manager and Corporate Marketing.
- Coordinate with Corporate Marketing and agencies to meet deadlines.
- Maintain updates on Corporate Marketing guidelines and share with colleagues.
- Contribute ideas for promotional events and activities.
- Lead monthly marketing meetings to discuss future campaigns.
- Proactively promote all revenue-generating activities like rooms, F&B, banquets, and conferences.
- Share best practices via my.kempinski for inter-hotel learning and motivation.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis regularly, monitor trends.
- Stay updated on marketing tools and trends, making recommendations to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Monitor sales and marketing results, proposing corrective actions as necessary.
- Participate in sales and marketing training programs.
- Keep abreast of hotel activities, promotions, and rates.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support business and hotel needs.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Preferably experience in an international, luxury five-star hotel.
