Job Description
Principal Duties and Accountability
- Student Information and Advice: Assist in providing a single point of enquiry, face-to-face at the Campus Central desk, or via phone, web form, or online chat, supporting students with all aspects of university life; managing resolution or triage of student queries; facilitating receipt and distribution of coursework; handling student requests for documents such as status letters and transcripts, and related processes like WES applications, document attestation, and KHDA letters.
- Specialist Student Advice: Offer professional guidance to students on academic issues, finance, scholarships, and policies and procedures.
- Service Quality: Support effective service delivery, develop tools to evaluate service quality, and provide key performance data.
- Service Capacity Building: Help reshape services to meet increasing student demand, initiate new support modes, and adapt to changing academic contexts.
- Student Success: Collaborate with faculties and services to implement projects and policies promoting student retention and success.
- Student Case Management: Manage complex student issues and respond to information requests collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies such as MoHESR and KHDA.
- Academic Registry Metrics: Work with managers to develop and utilize performance indicators for the Academic Registry.
- Department Planning: Facilitate planning for regular and ad hoc processes.
- Service Development: Recommend and support new services or process improvements for the Dubai campus.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and contribute to staff induction and orientation.
- Inclusive Practice: Promote equality and inclusive practices in all work aspects.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by university management.
Requirements: Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant undergraduate qualification
- Experience in a university environment
- Experience with business processes and IT management (desirable)

The candidate should be calm, effective, and efficient in dealing with staff, students, and external parties, capable of representing the university appropriately.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Knowledge of UK and UAE education policies, QAA Quality Code, and legislative requirements
- Understanding monitoring and accountability processes
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, and statistical tools
- Commitment to service improvement
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Research and analytical skills for qualitative and quantitative data
