Overview of the Role

The job holder (JH) is responsible for planning, controlling, and directing their store team to achieve the highest level of customer service standards and in-store execution to deliver sustainable sales and profits. JH provides excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence everyone to manifest the best professional customer service and is equipped with the ability to understand and analyze sales figures to drive the business to achieve its targets.


What You Will Do

Profit & Financial
  • Drive, monitor, and review sales performance; recommend action plans to meet sales targets at the store level.
  • Conduct monthly meetings focusing on category sales performance, updating the team on performance and recommending improvements.
  • Implement strategies and ensure 100% execution of all programs to achieve sales targets for all exclusive products, providing feedback on promotional effectiveness.
  • Manage and control store-approved OPEX budgets (utilities, supplies, staff costs, etc.).
  • Recommend and initiate plans to optimize store controllable expenses.
  • Achieve shrinkage budgets below tolerance levels through daily monitoring of retail standards and compliance.
Commercial
  • Check and review the implementation of displays and timely replenishment.
  • Manage stock availability and replenishment processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely inventory adjustments (GAP, cycle counts, negative quantities, false positives).
  • Maintain consistency with brand service standards when dealing with customers.
  • Ensure the customer shopping experience exceeds expectations.
  • Handle product queries, complaints, and provide professional advice aligned with brand standards.
  • Drive loyalty programs and initiatives to increase transaction participation.
  • Implement selling techniques to achieve target conversion and transaction rates.
  • Cascade ongoing promotions, activities, and memos following standard guidelines.
  • Check and validate the proper execution of promotional activities and store displays.
Process
  • Ensure policies, brand standards, grooming guidelines, and internal controls are communicated and implemented as per SOP.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and understanding of reporting systems.
  • Monitor store expenses, supervise loss prevention, asset protection, and risk management. Be accountable for inventory management.
  • Liaise with mall management and handle store documentation (reports, banking, refunds, exchanges, etc.).
People
  • Plan and monitor personal development and in-role training interventions.
  • Identify, implement, and monitor team learning initiatives.
  • Review and discuss performance appraisals and personal plans of direct reports.
  • Implement action plans for employee engagement.
Required Skills To Be Successful
  • Good knowledge of the beauty industry and trends; retail operational skills (stock, VM, systems, cash, etc.).
  • Management skills and experience in people development.
  • Empathy, customer service orientation, results-driven, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Integrity and trust, ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Proactive with a good team spirit and initiative-taking ability.
