Job description

Job Purpose

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our in-house software development team. The ideal candidate will enjoy learning, seeing projects through to completion, and thrive on new challenges. You will develop projects for the first casino in Arabia – Wynn Al Marjan Island. You will partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product teams.

Essential Duties

1. Take charge of QA for our solutions and develop cutting-edge services that will transform the hospitality industry in the UAE.
2. Perform manual testing to detect and reproduce bugs.
3. Integrate regression testing, functional testing, and exploratory testing into the QA process.
4. Write automated tests for APIs and conduct load testing.
5. Develop automated tests for web interfaces.
6. Enable visibility of our services through metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
7. Help ensure smooth and regular releases of new features with minimal bugs, coordinating and communicating with developers.
8. Ensure Incident & Problem management procedures are diligently followed.
9. Implement and drive automation focused on productivity improvements.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of QA experience with large-scale applications.

Skills / Knowledge

• Extensive experience as a QA engineer in front-end and back-end testing within startups and enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Python, JavaScript, Playwright, SQL, REST.
• Experience with load testing solutions such as K6.
• Proficiency in testing with a focus on automated end-to-end quality.
• Understanding of monitoring tools such as Kibana, DataDog, and NewRelic.
• Experience collaborating in Agile Scrum teams.
• Ability to mentor other engineers.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a group.
