Job summary

GEMS American Academy, Abu Dhabi invites applications for an Economics Teacher for 2026-2027. The school blends American curriculum with IB continuum, promoting inquiry-based learning and global-mindedness in a vibrant city setting.

The successful candidate will hold a B.Ed or PGCE/PGDE (or equivalent) with teaching qualifications, and demonstrate experience in Economics education within American/IB contexts. Strong collaboration and professional growth are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or Economics with a recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Economics in American or IB curriculum contexts preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons aligned with standards and inquiry-based learning.

Assess progress with varied methods and provide timely feedback.
