ECG Technician-Cardiology Services

JOB DESCRIPTION

Expected to manage ECGs in critical care, wards, emergency and outpatients.

Manages ECG recordings and appropriately annotates lead positions.

Manages Holter and ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring preparation of patients and patient education.

Assists physicians in stress studies (treadmill, echo, nuclear and tilt).

Partners with colleagues on monitoring of continuous ECG telemetry services.

Provides timely reports within the electronic patient record.

Effectively participates in departmental improvement projects under the guidance of senior technicians, supervisors and managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Qualification:

Required:

1. 1 year certificate in ECG Program
2. OR
3. 1 year Diploma program in Medical Sciences or Allied Health with evidence of formal ECG training
