Job description

Our client, a leading player in the perfume industry in the UAE, is seeking a skilled Fragrance Analyst with a background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of science and creativity, contributing to the development and refinement of premium fragrances across a range of consumer products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze fragrances using GC/MS in Fine Fragrance, Personal Care, Air Care, and Household product categories
  • Reconstitute fragrance formulas in collaboration with perfumers
  • Determine fragrance dosage in Fine Fragrance samples
  • Extract and analyze fragrances from various product bases
  • Assess and maintain a comprehensive database of perfumery raw materials
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of GC/MS/FID equipment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Perfumery, Compounding Laboratory, Application, QC, R&D, and Evaluation

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (preferably with a specialization in chemical analysis)
  • Proficient in GC/MS instrumentation, particularly Agilent systems
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the fragrance industry
  • Strong familiarity with perfumery raw materials and fragrance formulations
  • Previous hands-on experience in analytical roles using GC/MS
