The Global Pricing Director for Brinks Global Services (BGS) will be responsible for designing and implementing effectively pricing strategies to support customer and product mix, competitive positioning, and overall commercial goals. They will be a trusted pricing expert to internal stakeholders to ideate transformative approaches and deliver complex and challenge pricing projects. Pricing actions will be guided by company strategy and global pricing strategy.
The position reports to the Vice President of Global Pricing and sits in the global finance organization of the company. The role will be a key business partner responsible for challenging and supporting the BGS Executive Team.
The Director will work closely with BGS regional and local leadership teams to develop and successfully implement pricing strategies to reflect broader global goals whilst keeping in mind local market conditions and expectations.
The role will be a key leader to building a best-in-class pricing organization in the following areas:
- Leading efforts to build a culture of strategic price management, including ongoing price monitoring, margin enhancement, and informed decision-making
- Driving pricing action with regional and country teams to develop roadmap of work to deliver improved short-term and long-term price yields
- Developing views of pricing excellence and maturity, where we stand on that spectrum, and the actions to drive toward excellence
- Creating and supporting commercial strategy for emerging solutions with the implementation of innovative pricing strategies
- Developing best practices for pricing processes, tools, and technologies, including but not limited to modelling, risk analysis, price monitoring & measurement, analytics, governance, and systems
- Developing the pricing organization across the BGS company so that regions & countries have the appropriate level of skills in country to optimize price
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
- Lead the development of the Brinks Global Services global pricing strategy and actively participate in operational planning, strategic planning, and new initiatives to assist the direction of the BGS global leadership team
- Work closely with VP Global Pricing to develop BGS pricing actions & roadmap that reflect overall business and commercial goals and help to translate those into regional and country pricing priorities and actions
- Lead the roll-out and adoption of the pricing maturity framework and resulting priorities, ensuring regional and local team members are engaged and making progress in key areas to improve overall global maturity scores and profitability
- Lead the development and implementation of pricing tools and systems, collaborating across the product, finance, data, and leadership teams to continuously refine and automate pricing processes
- Drive transformational pricing initiatives by effectively communicating the vision for change, aligning teams toward common objectives, and providing support throughout the project for successful implementation and adoption
- Enable timely, accurate, and insightful use of data to create and measure key metrics on price and profitability on an ongoing basis and determine appropriate pricing actions for improved performance
- Stay current with relevant market intelligence as well as analytics tools/techniques and applications to our business needs
- Provide guidance and support to deal/customer teams throughout the sales cycle in analyzing and making recommendations regarding deal-specific financial strategies and solutions
- Manage all aspects of BGS pricing strategy development and planning, including but not limited to annual planning processes, pricing strategy for new product launches, pricing positioning and commercial models, portfolio analyses and leading relevant ad hoc deep dives and analyses
EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years experience in a relevant pricing role, focus on strategic pricing/pricing modeling and leadership required
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related area required. MBA degree preferred.
- Previous experience in capturing significant profitability gains via price required
- Track record of leading successful project delivery and/or transformational initiatives, resolving complex problems with well-structured analysis
- Experience working successfully within a global matrix organization, effectively influencing cross-functionally, across divisions, across cultures, and at various levels of management
- Strong people leader, adept at managing team's work while developing capabilities and building a positive and productive team culture
- Experience in presenting to senior-level executives in a results-oriented culture
