Security Senior Manager Job Description
We are seeking a experienced Security Senior Manager to oversee and coordinate all security operations within our leisure facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, managing security staff, and ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and property.
- Write or review security-related documents, such as incident reports, proposals, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain training curriculum and train/retrain department team members and colleagues on security and emergency procedures, monitoring readiness for emergencies.
- Lead regular reviews and ensure programs are in place for emergency preparedness.
- Initiate and lead loss recovery actions and coordinate emergency, crisis management, and evacuation drills.
- Plan and supply security for special and high-risk events.
- Review financial reports to ensure security operations are efficient and of high quality.
- Develop budgets for security operations and future projects, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with department heads to maintain property loss prevention programs.
- Manage departmental keys, access control, video surveillance, safety alarms, and other security devices.
- Control access to critical areas outside normal operating hours.
- Report, track, and evaluate incidents, ensuring timely and proper documentation and action.
- Support processes to protect sensitive information and handle disciplinary and clearance procedures.
- Act as liaison with governmental agencies such as police and Civil Defense.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Establish procedures to prevent theft/losses and manage escort policies for transporting money.
- Implement patrol systems to monitor the complex and deter intruders.
- Investigate security breaches and coordinate investigations of misconduct or losses.
- Conduct sensitive security responses, including equipment checks and surveillance.
- Assist in emergency procedures and ensure all inspections and tests are completed on time.
- Coordinate with the HSE Senior Manager to minimize claims and ensure VIP visits are handled confidentially.
- Manage payroll and staffing for the security department.
- Review daily departmental activities and performance, conducting appraisals and corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with staff and other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Review security system designs during project planning to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Fulfill the Duty Manager role when assigned.
- Review security service contracts for efficiency and compliance.
- Create access control levels for departments, colleagues, and contractors.
- Work with leadership on evacuation drills and security needs of other departments.
- Organize tasks to support overall security objectives and manage team scheduling and development.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma with relevant security certifications (e.g., Basic Security Training)
- At least 5 years of security experience in the hospitality/leisure industry, including 2 years in middle management
- 2 years of experience in the UAE or Middle East
- Proficiency in management and leadership
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk assessment, investigatory, and reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations
- Excellent customer service, negotiation, interpersonal, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Effective time management and budget tracking abilities
- Experience in crisis management
