Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing plans, programmes, and projects, controlling information, and setting performance baselines. They will monitor project performance against these baselines, recommend and enable future actions of consultants and contractors, and work within contractual frameworks. The role involves reporting internally and to clients, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and developing initiation programmes for all development stages.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing an overall development project progress control system for all phases.
  2. Creating detailed plans for all development phases and initiating programmes.
  3. Effectively presenting project plans to stakeholders.
  4. Ensuring supplier programmes align with detailed plans and monitoring systems.
  5. Monitoring suppliers' progress and implementing recovery action plans for slippage.
  6. Assisting with the analysis of supplier claims.
  7. Managing close-out planning functions and ensuring data accuracy.
  8. Reviewing project documents and conditions.
  9. Establishing project control procedures and resource requirements.
  10. Developing work breakdown structures in conjunction with the Project Manager and Client.
  11. Setting and communicating cost and schedule baselines, and monitoring performance.
  12. Reviewing project status and recommending corrective actions.
  13. Ensuring compliance with reporting standards as per the Project Control Manual.
  14. Performing other planning management duties as assigned by the Project Director or Senior Project Manager.
