Job Description
- Manage financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all transactions related to store inventory and accounting.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, to inform decision-making.
- Oversee stock levels, conducting regular audits to prevent discrepancies and ensure optimal inventory management.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate prices and maintain positive relationships for supply chain efficiency.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly, ensuring smooth financial operations within the store.
- Conduct periodic inventory reconciliations, identifying and resolving issues promptly to maintain financial integrity.
- Develop and maintain filing systems for both accounting and inventory records, ensuring easy retrieval and confidentiality.
- Train and supervise junior staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, analyzing variances to facilitate effective financial planning.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; certifications like CPA or CMA are preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and inventory management, preferably in retail or manufacturing.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and inventory management systems for efficient record-keeping.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus for diverse environments.
- Physical ability to handle inventory, including lifting and moving products as necessary for store management.
- Adaptable and proactive, with a strong ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Demonstrated integrity and transparency in managing financial transactions and inventory records.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and a positive work atmosphere.
