Job description

What You'll Do

We are looking for a Senior Property Tax Compliance Specialist to join our growing team. You will handle complex compliance tasks, resolve escalations, drive process improvements, manage customer relationships, and mentor team members. The ideal candidate has experience in multi-jurisdictional property tax compliance and possesses advanced technical skills to support automation and data-driven decision-making. This role reports to the Director, Property Tax Managed Services.

This is a remote opportunity. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Prepare and finalize signature-ready personal property tax returns across multiple states and jurisdictions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for personal property tax compliance, providing insights and recommendations to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Meet with customers during implementation processes and status calls.
  • Analyze, transform, load, and reconcile customer data.
  • Lead process automation and data efficiency initiatives, collaborating with technology teams to optimize compliance workflows.
  • Develop and implement best practices for return preparation, reconciliation, assessment review, and tax bill reporting.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience preparing and filing multi-jurisdictional personal property tax returns.
  • Experience with personal property tax compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of asset classification, depreciation schedules, and taxability determinations.
  • Experience resolving escalations related to tax filings, compliance challenges, and jurisdictional disputes.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, data modeling).
