Job description

Job Description: Information Designer

Location: UAE

Role Purpose
  1. Continuously search for new, useful external data sources, either upon request or independently. Pursue and purchase such sources, considering business needs while maintaining the integrity and agility of information systems.
  2. Ensure optimal integration of new data in collaboration with the Information Architect by designing architectures and methodologies for schema development, data quality, and creating specifications for ETL processing by the ITS team.
  3. Collaborate closely with the Information Architect to triage new requirements, aiming to maximize data accessibility and quality across Daman, and maintain the integrity of the UDM.
  4. Maintain a continuous deputy relationship between functions; delegate tasks as needed without major handovers.
  5. Execute out-of-model data extractions and integrations in an agile manner, collaborating with IT Applications management and the Intelligence Administrator. Have the mandate to commission necessary work with the Section Head, Data Governance's consent.
  6. Plan and undertake actions to enhance the connection of Intelligence with business units, with approval from the Director or Section Head, Data Governance.
  7. Support and enable Intelligence services, including refreshes, analysis, R&D, coaching, committee participation, and health economics intelligence, as directed.
  8. Implement and maintain data models, dictionaries, lineage, and business views of UDM and Data Lab.
  9. Contribute to business specifications for development activities.
  10. Propose data quality tasks to the Data Quality Auditor, with approval from the Section Head, Data Governance.
  11. Administer a consistent Data Dictionary, including definitions for all data subjects.
Key Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in data modeling and/or integration, using data modeling techniques for large data stores (Relational and Multi-Dimensional).
  2. Experience working with business and IT teams on data-related issues.
  3. Experience with enterprise data warehouses and large-scale reporting.
  4. Healthcare or insurance industry experience is preferred.
  5. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with programming exposure.
