Job Title

Senior Technician Commercial Vehicles

JOB PURPOSE

Perform quality servicing and repairs on all mechanical and electrical components of motor vehicles to meet the manufacturer's specifications, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities

1. Operations: Identify customer requests, analyze them with the supervisor or foreman, and refine the repair process. Perform the requested work following the manufacturer's methods, recommendations, and operating procedures. Prepare service repair estimates and submit them to the foreman or team leader. Maintain communication with the foreman or team leader during the work to report progress, check results, and seek assistance if needed.
2. Tools & Equipment: Use manufacturer-provided tools and systems to carry out repairs according to manufacturer guidelines to ensure high-quality standards. Ensure all tools and components at the work site are in good working condition and operational.
3. Delivery: Conduct safety inspections and complete the quality control sheet. Inform the team leader or foreman when the vehicle is ready. Prepare the vehicle for delivery, ensuring all equipment and accessories are in place, the vehicle is cleaned, and any damaged or old parts are returned to the customer if requested.
4. Safety: Follow safety rules for equipment, instruments, and products. Adhere to manufacturer's directives and safety guidelines to prevent damage to vehicles or injury to oneself. Observe precautions to avoid occupational hazards during repair works.

Job Specific Information

Senior Technician will work closely with the team leader, foreman, and service team, following operational procedures as instructed by Mercedes Benz.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Education Certificate.
• Diploma in vocational technician (preferred).
• Certification as Technician in Electrical and Mechanical mastery (preferred).

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in repair work and operations within an automotive workshop environment.
• Experience with commercial vehicles (trucks, buses, vans) is preferred.
