An established industry player is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on automotive systems. • Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on engine and fuel systems at customer locations. • Assist in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues related to engines and fuel systems. • Install fuel system components and engines at the customer site. • Assist senior technicians with tasks and service requirements. • Ensure all service activities are documented accurately in service reports and work orders. • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and manufacturer guidelines. • Provide customer support and communicate effectively to explain issues and • recommended solutions. • Maintain and clean service tools, equipment, and company vehicles. • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems in engine performance or fuel systems along with senior technicians • Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition, performing regular checks and cleaning. • Any other responsibilities or scope as and when instructed by the Field Service Team Lead or Workshop Manager
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and diagnostics. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage workloads, and ensure high-quality service. • Customer Focus: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and addressing customer needs promptly. • Attention to Detail: Precision in performing repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) are preferred. Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field service technician in the automotive industry. • Experience in leading and training a team of technicians. • Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues.
