Job Overview: The role is responsible for preparing and managing the company's budget, monitoring financial performance, managing the day-to-day accounts, and providing financial advice. Additionally, the Finance Manager will be responsible for establishing financial processes and controls and preparing accurate financial statements and reports. Responsibilities & Overview: • Prepare and reconcile all fiscal and budget reports, including monthly management accounts for all departments and Management. Ensure financial reporting in a timely manner with utmost accuracy. • Responsible for ensuring compliance with UAE Tax Laws (including VAT and Corporate Tax) and Insurance Brokers Regulation, filing of returns and also expertise in compliance with and submitting reports for the Insurance Authority and Central Bank of UAE. • Ensure all records are maintained and readily accessible. This includes but is not limited to capital assets and depreciation schedules, general ledger and bank reconciliations, accounts payable statement of account reconciliations. • Maintain a current contracts register which will include Insurance Company contracts, security cheque register, vendor, third party and IT system contracts. • Actively manage cash flow and the funding and utilization of resources; manage and process disbursement of funds; accounts payable and receivable ageing, review and approve invoices, purchase orders and requisitions. This will specifically include petty cash, corporate card use and expense claims. • Ensure compliance to the established financial policies and procedures; review and recommend modifications to the financial systems, policies and procedures for continuous improvement. • Confers and support Department Heads with the budgeting and accounting processes, to ensure budgets are completed and submitted in a timely manner. • Review with Department Heads in actual performance against budget; identify concern areas and ensure plans/ steps are in place to manage areas of concern, • Support and coordinate the internal and external statutory audits; ensure all steps are taken to prepare for audits, • Develop teamwork, demonstrating shared goals and values. Provide leadership guidance and support to all staff in the area. Enable the team to ensure team is recruited, trained and motivated; develop appropriate succession plans, • Any other related duties / projects assigned by the MD and CEO from time to time to meet the business needs. • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. • Collaborate with other departments to drive business growth and improve customer experience.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA or CA is preferred • Bilingual Preferred (English and Arabic) • 8 – 10 years of experience in Financial Management, 5 of which in a proven supervisory position. • Insurance Industry / Brokerage experience in UAE preferred • Experience in a computerized accounting environment • UAE Financial Regulations • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
