The Key Objectives for This Role
  • Draft and manage detailed, clear, and compliant contracts supporting project requirements
  • Lead discussions with vendors, contractors, and clients to secure favorable terms and maintain good relationships
  • Identify potential contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards
  • Track contract execution to meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations
  • Handle disputes and conflicts professionally and effectively
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external parties to align contract strategies with project goals
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Promote safety leadership behaviors
  • Act ethically and with integrity
  • Champion and promote the application of Financial Management Framework guidelines
  • Follow relevant DOA and contracting policies
Assists, Supports, and Delivers, Under Limited Supervision

Activities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating:

  • Confidentiality agreements / NDAs
  • Client contracts, including project-specific contracts and MSAs
  • Financial instruments such as Bonds, Letters of Credit, PCGs, Collateral Warranties
  • MOUs and exclusive arrangements
  • Reviewing contract qualifications to ensure appropriate risk balance
  • Negotiating contractual terms with clients
  • Providing contract overviews to management and teams
  • Contributing to the Tender Governance Process
  • Identifying contractual risks for risk management
  • Developing prime contract flow-down terms for purchase orders and subcontracts
  • Providing contractual interpretation advice
  • Ensuring timely provision of contractual deliverables like bonds and evidence of insurance
  • Supporting commercial handovers with mitigations and actions
Assists and Supports Under Supervision
  • Preparation, negotiation, and administration of JV and partnering agreements
  • Aligning contractual terms with remuneration models
  • Managing claims and defending against claims
  • Participating in industry-wide contracts initiatives
  • Forming subcontracts and flow-downs
