JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Material & Corrosion Specialist

Job Description:

KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill the position of Material & Corrosion Specialist for an Offshore PMC project, based in Abu Dhabi City at the EPC Contractor’s office.

Requirements
  1. Minimum of 17+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, specializing in Material and Corrosion for offshore/onshore projects. Experience with corrosion software (e.g., ECE, Predict, etc.) is required.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills, along with good planning and organizational abilities.
  3. Extensive knowledge of materials suitable for sour service conditions and familiarity with NACE standards such as MR0175/ISO 15156, MR0103, TM 0177, TM 0284, etc.
  4. Experience in investigating material and corrosion failures in service and projects, including root cause analysis and recommending mitigation measures to prevent recurrence.
  5. Familiarity with the use of non-metallic materials in oil and gas applications.
  6. Knowledge of corrosion mitigation techniques such as chemical injection, inhibitors/biocides, cathodic protection, internal coatings, and cladding.
  7. Effective communication skills, both written and oral, to clarify technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  8. Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
