Job Title: Oracle Developer
Job Purpose:
Responsible for assisting the Team leads to analyze the requirements, perform impact analysis of the change requests (CR), and conduct gap analysis between the existing and proposed solutions. The resource should be able to write specifications and perform coding.
The resource should also be able to design databases, develop, and test software components by converting project requirements using Oracle 10g, advanced PL/SQL programming technologies coupled with Java and J2EE technology.
The resource should also be able to conduct peer code reviews and assist in implementation.
Person responsible for collecting information related to projects and delivering assignments against the agreed baselines.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the requirements and perform impact analysis.
- Design and develop applications.
- Prepare project-related technical documentation and CMMI documents.
- Conduct gap analysis between the existing solution and proposed changes.
- Perform unit testing on delivered solutions.
- Conduct problem analysis and bug fixes.
- Support change and release management.
Work Experience:
- Proficiency in Oracle programming and database design.
- Exposure to data integration tools like JBoss FUSE.
- Awareness of project management methodologies applied to software development projects.
- SQERT-based project analysis.
- CMMI standards.
- Application programming - the ability to code and test modules and debug issues quickly in Oracle PL/SQL and D2K; exposure to Java programming.
- Business recovery - the ability to develop, document, and test plans for disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Change management analysis and processes - the ability to coordinate changes, recognize potential problems, and understand impacts before changes are implemented.
- Configuring and optimizing the system - the ability to ensure optimum system operation through the use of system rules, control parameters, or commands.
- RDBMS systems - the ability to utilize Oracle 11g packages and code in PL/SQL.
