Job Purpose:

The Security Supervisor will oversee the daily activities and operations during their shift. They will supervise outsourced security personnel, organize and monitor work processes to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time. Additionally, they will perform or delegate specific tasks, administrative duties, investigations, inspections, and other duties as directed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain policies, procedures, and objectives outlined by the hotel.
  • Prioritize and organize work assignments; delegate tasks as needed.
  • Direct the performance of security staff and follow up on corrections.
  • Investigate incidents occurring during their shift or delegate investigations; review all investigation reports for accuracy, grammar, and spelling.
  • Maintain a safe environment, ensure peace, and act on violations of local, municipal, or hotel policies and procedures.
  • Assist in safety trainings and ensure compliance with state and federal safety standards, hazard control, and fire safety drills.
  • Conduct safety inspections of the property and report risks.
  • Manage discipline of security guards, assist in scheduling, officer reviews, and communication.
  • Coordinate protection details and security arrangements for VIPs and events.
  • Act as liaison between security and other hotel departments, assessing needs and coordinating work.
  • Stay updated on current trends in security, emergency services, and safety standards.
  • Assess the performance of security guards according to company guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; effective coordination with guests, colleagues, and law enforcement.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in security, emergency services, or related fields; army or police backgrounds preferred.
  • High school diploma with a valid SIRA certificate.
  • Proficient in MS Office; demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Minimum height of 5'8".
