Job description

The Resident Project Engineer (Civil) is responsible for overseeing the construction and technical management of civil projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards. He/she acts as the primary point of contact between the client, project team, contractors, and consultants on-site.

Skills

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and work progress.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure construction activities meet design standards.
• Resolve technical issues promptly to prevent delays.
• Prepare and maintain progress reports, site diaries, and other project documentation.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
• Assist in the procurement and review of method statements, work programmes, and inspection & test plans.
• Liaise with project management, consultants, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Monitor and control project costs and resources effectively.
