Role Overview

To direct and oversee all fleet and corporate sales activities at EMARAT, including mobile fuel units and tailored fleet fueling solutions for corporate clients and large vehicle fleets. This includes managing the full lifecycle of proprietary EMARAT payment cards, RFID, and related data-driven transaction services at EMARAT retail service stations and through mobile fueling platforms. The role ensures optimal payment acceptance infrastructure, seamless customer experience, and maximized revenue generation in alignment with EMARAT’s strategic priorities and profitability goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Planning & Implementation
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Commercial Sales Department’s strategic priorities and goals.
  • Ensure business processes and work activities are planned and executed in compliance with EMARAT policy, procedures, and best practices to achieve business objectives in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of policies, procedures, and practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Liaise with the Chief Retail Officer to update on significant developments by the Card Marketing Section.
  • Generate reports as per management requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Budgeting
  • Assist in preparing the departmental business, operating plans, and capital expenditure budgets aligned with corporate goals.
  • Analyze cash flow, control costs, and monitor expenses to optimize resource utilization.
  • Make financial decisions prudently, monitor variances, and approve operational expenses within authority levels.
  • Oversee activities of Sales, Customer Service, and Finance/Credit teams to deliver efficient card services.
  • Collaborate with IT to maintain infrastructure for card acceptance and performance.
  • Drive new business development through proprietary and third-party EFT card and loyalty programs.
Customer Management
  • Review reports, address potential issues, and visit key customers when appropriate.
  • Investigate customer complaints and resolve escalated issues to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain contacts with fleet customers and partners to ensure service delivery and sales goals.
  • Represent EMARAT with banks, IT suppliers, and marketing partners for payment and fleet solutions.
  • Work proactively across departments and externally to ensure joint service delivery.
People Management
  • Motivate and empower staff, providing tools and support.
  • Set clear directions, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor workflows.
  • Encourage staff participation in improvements and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and performance management guidelines.
Qualifications / Requirements
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of EFT, CRM, management tools, and developments.
  • Knowledge of international best practices in fleet sales and solutions.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent.
Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years in Commercial Sales, with at least 3 in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas Distribution Industry preferred.
  • Leadership experience in a multicultural environment.
  • Goal-oriented with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • IT and Finance literacy.
