Job Description
General Accounting:
- Oversee end-to-end general ledger accounting activities for multiple entities across different countries.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS and local statutory regulations.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Perform variance analysis and cost tracking across regions and business units.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with historical and trend data analysis.
- Present insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Audit & Compliance:
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
- Assist with tax filings, VAT compliance, and statutory reporting as required in each country.
Systems & Process Improvements:
- Work closely with regional finance teams and shared service centers.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and enhancement.
- Ensure smooth operation of ERP systems and lead finance process improvement initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable for advanced financial acumen.
- CPA certification is essential, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards and expertise in accounting principles.
- A minimum of 10-12 years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably within the finance sector or a multinational corporation.
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial reports and statements.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to enhance financial processes.
