Role Overview

They are looking for a dynamic and technically astute Senior Manager for AI Projects to lead a team of 25 AI engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has evolved from a full-stack developer to a solutions architect and now drives AI-focused product and platform delivery. You will lead cross-functional AI initiatives, architect cutting-edge solutions, and ensure seamless API integrations and scalable frameworks across high-impact products.

What You’ll Do

1. Lead end-to-end delivery of AI projects from problem discovery, model design, system architecture, to deployment.
2. Architect solutions using diverse frameworks and AI/ML models, ensuring scalability, performance, and innovation.
3. Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to drive AI feature development and implementation.
4. Own the roadmap, execution, and team performance for all AI initiatives across Derivs Dubai engineering hub.
5. Evaluate and integrate APIs, 3rd-party AI services, and internal data pipelines into production systems.
6. Foster a culture of engineering excellence, experimentation, and fast learning within your team.
7. Regularly report progress, blockers, and delivery outcomes to the VP Engineering and global stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

1. 10+ years of progressive experience in full-stack development, solutions architecture, and AI product delivery.
2. Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks, data engineering, cloud platforms, and scalable backend architectures.
3. Experience working in Fintech or Gaming industries.
4. Proven track record managing high-performing tech teams (preferably 15+ engineers).
5. Strong programming knowledge in Python, Node.js, or JavaScript frameworks, along with API architecture.
6. Familiarity with generative AI, NLP, recommendation engines, fraud detection models, or real-time personalization.
7. Excellent leadership and communication skills with a global-first mindset.
8. Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
