Job Description

• Spearhead the articulation and evolution of the vision and mission, ensuring alignment with directives from the government backers.
• Formulate and oversee the implementation of a clear long-term strategy and associated business plans, securing Board approval.
• Cultivate and manage robust relationships with senior officials, partners, and other key entities to achieve financial and strategic goals.
• Provide strategic direction and oversee the performance of a key operational division, ensuring it meets its mandates.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of our organisational structure, processes, and systems for optimal efficiency.
• Represent the university in public forums and collaborate with the Board to enhance the profile both locally and internationally.

The Successful Applicant

• A strong honours degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university; an MBA from a reputable business school is highly desirable.
• Extensive senior leadership experience, with at least 20 years in related fields and 10+ years in a very senior managerial position.
• Significant experience (circa 10 years) working effectively within a multicultural environment.
• Demonstrable success in managing relationships with senior government/ministerial level stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, finance, and performance management principles.
• Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and strategic negotiation abilities
