The company :

RAI International is a successful, reputable, and growing polymer distributor with representation across global markets. With over 30 years since its establishment, this distributor has an extensive network with 20+ offices worldwide. RAI represents, on an exclusive basis, some of the largest and most internationally reputed producers. The company aims to expand its footprint by strengthening producer relationships and increasing its supplier portfolio, currently negotiating off-take contracts that will significantly boost turnover. They seek a CCO with experience to expand infrastructure to support this growth. The company values a family-oriented environment with strong support networks and autonomy.

Responsibilities :

  1. Oversee the company’s commercial performance across all territories.
  2. Develop and implement a global sales strategy aligned with business objectives; forecast and manage sales pipeline and revenue.
  3. Build, lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing global sales team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  4. Evaluate and improve sales processes, leveraging technology for efficiency.
  5. Manage sales operations, including forecasting, reporting, and analytics.
  6. Drive revenue growth by expanding existing accounts and entering new markets.
  7. Achieve and surpass sales targets annually.
  8. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  9. Develop strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate risks.
  10. Build and maintain relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
  11. Provide regular sales updates and performance metrics to senior management.
  12. Set sales targets for the team and monitor progress.
  13. Represent the company at global trade shows and events to network and generate leads.

Experience :

  1. Prior experience in a global polymer trading or distribution company.
  2. Minimum of 12 years in Marketing/Sales within polymer commodities.
  3. Currently in a Global Director or Senior VP role.
  4. Experience managing commercial operations regionally or globally.
  5. Main focus on polypropylene and polyethylene, responsible for other P&Ls.
  6. Currently responsible for sales of at least 250 ktes of polyolefins.
  7. Experience in Southern Hemisphere markets: LATAM, Africa, ME, or Indian Subcontinent.
  8. Experience working in diverse international environments.

Qualifications :

  1. MBA preferred.
  2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  6. International business experience and cultural sensitivity.
  7. Languages: Fluent in English; French, Spanish, or Arabic are a plus.
  8. Gregarious and personable personality.
