Job Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manager VAT to join our Tax Advisory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality VAT compliance, advisory, and planning services to clients and/or internal stakeholders in line with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of UAE VAT law, excellent client-facing skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- VAT Compliance & Reporting
Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE VAT law and FTA guidelines.
Provide technical VAT advice on a wide range of transactions and business models, including supply chain, cross-border, and industry-specific implications, particularly Financial Services.
Assist with VAT registration, voluntary disclosures, and FTA correspondence.
Conduct VAT impact assessments, risk reviews, and support the implementation of VAT-compliant systems and processes.
Liaise with clients or internal departments to gather information, resolve VAT issues, and ensure timely filing.
Support the development of tax governance frameworks, documentation, and internal VAT policy manuals.
Keep up to date with regulatory changes, FTA guidance, and best practices, and communicate relevant insights to clients and team members.
Coordinate with external auditors and legal advisors, as needed. - Tax Advisory and Client Management
Provide clients with tax advice related to UAE VAT and its implications for their business.
Advise clients on the tax implications of new business ventures and ongoing operations. - Risk Management
Identify potential tax risks and propose risk mitigation strategies for clients.
Ensure adherence to risk management processes, consulting internally and with the risk team for engagements. - Business Development
Assist in developing the firm’s tax practice by identifying new business opportunities.
Prepare and deliver client presentations, proposals, and tax briefings.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and assist in onboarding new clients.
Skills and Experience
Experience
- At least seven years of relevant tax experience in a similar role, preferably within a large accounting firm with a multi-jurisdictional presence.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CTA, ADIT, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent) is required.
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT Law, FTA procedures, and regional tax frameworks.
- Experience with VAT in the UAE or GCC region.

Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or law, with strong academic results.
- Qualifications such as ACA, CTA, ADIT, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent are preferred.
- UAE VAT Diploma is advantageous.
