We are currently looking for a MEP Site Engineer with a strong background in the fit-out industry to join our creative and dynamic team.

Job Overview:

The MEP Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on retail fit-out sites, ensuring they are executed in compliance with approved designs, local authority regulations, and project timelines. The role requires coordination with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful MEP integration and seamless handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems on retail fit-out sites.
• Review shop drawings and ensure alignment with approved MEP designs and architectural layouts.
• Monitor MEP subcontractor performance and enforce compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure implementation of MEP works is in accordance with DEWA, SEWA, ADDC, and Dubai Municipality guidelines.

Project Coordination

• Liaise with project managers, interior designers, civil engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and quality of MEP installations.
• Coordinate with mall management and consultants for inspections and approvals.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports related to MEP activities.
• Maintain records of materials used, manpower deployment, and inspection logs.
• Assist in the preparation of red-marked drawings and as-built documentation.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Enforce compliance with HSE standards and practices during all MEP works.
• Report any safety incidents or non-conformities on site.
• Ensure that all MEP works adhere to relevant UAE codes and statutory regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 3–5 years’ UAE experience in MEP installation and design coordination within retail fit-out or interior projects.
• Strong knowledge of local authority approvals (DEWA, Civil Defence, DCD, etc.).
• Familiarity with HVAC, fire fighting, fire alarm, LV/ELV systems, and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation tools.
• UAE driving license preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge in MEP systems.
• Effective communication and leadership on-site.
• Ability to interpret drawings and resolve technical conflicts.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to solve complex problems with attention to detail.
