The ideal candidate will lead the product selection and procurement process, focusing on sourcing high-quality items that resonate with consumer demands. The incumbent will conduct market research to identify emerging trends, analyze consumer behavior, and evaluate competitor offerings. They will negotiate terms with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and delivery schedules while maintaining the highest product standards. The incumbent will leverage tools such as SAP and Power BI to analyze purchasing data, monitor inventory levels, and forecast future needs. They will collaborate with merchandising and logistics teams to ensure smooth product flow and address any supply chain challenges. The incumbent will manage budgets effectively, ensuring that purchasing activities align with financial objectives and deliver maximum ROI. They will also assess the performance of suppliers, maintain strong relationships, and seek opportunities for continuous improvement. The incumbent will ensure compliance with GMG’s procurement policies, preparing detailed reports on purchasing performance and trends for leadership review.

Educational Qualifications and Certificates: Bachelor’s degree in business, degree in Supply Chain Management, certification in Procurement Management, proficiency in SAP and Power BI. A postgraduate degree is advantageous.

Experience: At least 7 years in procurement roles, including 3 years in sports retail, with experience in inventory management, advanced knowledge of SAP ERP, and proficiency in data-driven analytics.
