An established industry player in hospitality seeks a dedicated Recreation Attendant to enhance guest experiences through engaging activities and exceptional service. POSITION SUMMARY
Serve as a key resource for all recreation activities facilitated on the property. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities, which may include pools, beach entertainment zone/gameroom, fitness center, and child activities center. Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests. Enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facilities to ensure the safety and welfare of guests and members. Observe activities in the recreational facilities and respond appropriately according to local operating procedures in case of an emergency. Provide cashier services when working in facilities that include point-of-sale transactions. Assist with hosting private functions within the recreation facilities, including group activities and events. Be vigilant about situations where guests may not be able to participate safely and inform supervisors or managers. Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive. Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow company policies and procedures; ensure a professional appearance and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest service needs; assist guests with disabilities; thank guests sincerely. Communicate clearly and professionally; answer phones appropriately. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues; support team goals. Process payments for equipment rentals, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales. Meet quality assurance standards. Read and verify information in various formats. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects. Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and retrieve information. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; lift objects up to 25 pounds unaided, and heavier objects with assistance. Handle objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and uneven surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: None required.
Supervisory Experience: None required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification: CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and any other certifications required by local and state agencies.
