Position Overview

Seeking a technically skilled and experienced Product Owner to lead development of cybersecurity software products. Must have strong product management experience in Agile environments and technical knowledge to bridge business and tech teams. Responsible for defining vision, managing backlog, and delivering secure, high-quality software.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Education and Experience

• Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in product ownership/management, especially in cybersecurity and Agile.

1. Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of cybersecurity and secure development.
• Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
• Familiar with APIs, web interfaces, cloud tech.

1. Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Able to manage competing priorities and make decisions under pressure.

1. Certifications (Preferred)

• CSPO or equivalent Agile cert.
• Cybersecurity certs like CISSP, CISM, or CEH.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision and Strategy

• Define and communicate product vision/roadmap.
• Align product with market and organizational goals.
• Stay current with cybersecurity trends and technologies.

Backlog Management

• Gather/prioritize requirements from diverse stakeholders.
• Maintain and prioritize product backlog.
• Write detailed user stories with cybersecurity-specific acceptance criteria.

Collaboration and Leadership

• Liaise between stakeholders, dev teams, and QA.
• Ensure technical feasibility and cybersecurity alignment.
• Facilitate sprint planning and retrospectives.

Cybersecurity Focus

• Integrate secure coding and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, NIST).
• Address vulnerabilities with security teams.
• Manage security findings and priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Provide updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Gather user feedback to refine product.

Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement

• Define/track KPIs.
• Optimize development process.

Product Design
