Job summary

A leading company in the UAE is seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in engineering and project management for infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP infra projects, excellent problem-solving abilities, and significant experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. This role involves overseeing project compliance, conducting inspections, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years’ experience in similar projects.
• Fluent in English; Arabic preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge in MEP infra projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day working and technical consultants on client assignments.
• Conduct and supervise field inspections of projects under construction.
• Produce reports on each project at agreed intervals.

Job description

The candidate must possess expertise/experience in the following domains:

• Perform a variety of professional engineering duties in support to the infrastructure project works; such as calculations and computations and preparing project cost analysis.
• Participate in the review of contractor work activities and ensure contract compliance with contract obligations.
• Conduct and supervise the filed inspections of projects under construction, and provide resolution to construction problems. And to verify both work-in-progress and completed projects.
• Review drawings, plans and other work details submitted by external consultants and contractor for conformance with standards and work specifications.
• Know the required permits and NOCs for the projects.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
• Manage the day-to-day working, utilization, implementation and technical consultants engaged on client assignments.
• Responsible for managing 2 to 3 smaller projects (Budget: 1 to 1.5M), reporting status updates to ensure the successful completion of ongoing as well as expected projects.
• Produce reports on each project at agreed intervals, and whenever substantive actions are required.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.

• Analysis and Reporting

• Assist in managing the process of periodic management reporting on project status (i.e. schedule, costs, activities, opportunities and risks); ensuring full visibility of progress.
• Assist in conducting Risk Assessment analysis for projects and ensure any risks and issues are resolved promptly and effectively & Resolutions for major projects.

The candidate must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree.

• Project Management Qualifications and Accreditations (PMP) is an advantage.

• 10-15 years’ experience for similar projects.

• Fluent in English (Arabic is preferred).

• Strong technical knowledge in MEP infra projects.

• Excellent project management skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills
