Role Overview:

The Head of MOE is an executive leadership team member, reporting directly to the Principal. Responsible for overseeing MOE subjects, the role involves managing curriculum, policies, staff welfare, and communication, ensuring the school's mission is realized and contributing to overall school development.

Main Duties:

1. Ensure a safe environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.
2. Ensure MOE programs comply with legal, financial, and organizational standards.
3. Support strategic planning and policy development aligned with the school's vision and accreditation standards.
4. Oversee operational aspects of MOE, including curriculum, extracurriculars, staff evaluation, IT, and timetabling.
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of school practices and their impact on learning.
6. Act as a school ambassador, maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.
7. Participate in curriculum design and implementation.
8. Provide staff with resources and professional development opportunities.
9. Collaborate with leadership to address school issues and implement operational structures effectively.

Develop Teaching and Learning:

1. Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity, and progression for all students.
2. Guide teachers on learning objectives and teaching methods.
3. Establish policies for assessing and reporting student achievement.
4. Support setting achievement and behavior standards for staff and students.
5. Implement a department policy for managing student behavior in line with school policies.
