Key Responsibilities :
- Investigate problems and perform repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Monitor and inspect heating and cooling systems to ensure proper operation.
- Install and maintain electrical equipment, motors, and electrical panels.
- Lay out wiring for lighting systems.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Ensure installations meet set standards.
- Secure and connect loose wires properly.
- Check motors and belts; handle lubrication duties.
- Replace worn-out parts and filters.
- Order supplies and equipment needed for electrical maintenance or installation.
- Ensure availability of items needed for electrical projects.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations to resolve issues.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Replace faulty or expired parts in electrical systems.
- Follow building policies and standards.
- Ensure the fire alarm system is secure.
- Update chilled water readings.
- Manage Building Management System (BMS).
- Ensure proper treatment of chilled water chemicals.
- Maintain, install, and repair electrical components of equipment such as boilers, doors, fans, lights, receptacles, motors, heaters, bleachers, and alarm systems.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair emergency generators (change oil, filters, belts, etc.).
Skills Required :
- Strong understanding of reading and interpreting instructions and safety procedures related to electrical work.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools and electrical tools.
- Experience in handling electronic and mechanical systems effectively.
- Ability to provide technical assistance in the design and implementation of electrical systems.
Qualifications :
- Knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with blueprints.
- Ability to repair electrical systems.
- Skill in operating electric motors safely.
- Knowledge of standard parts and catalogs used by electrical distributors.
- Understanding of safety rules, especially related to electrical work.
