Job DescriptionAs a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing professional audio, video, and lighting equipment. The role involves hands-on technical work, routine maintenance, and supporting field service needs. You should be detail-oriented, skilled with electronic tools, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in a technical service or repair role within the AVL or related electronics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of signal flow and systems integration in professional audio, video, and lighting setups.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot down to the component/board level.
  • Proficient in soldering and rework of surface-mount and through-hole components.
  • Familiarity with digital and analog electronics, including schematics and circuit analysis.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, etc.).
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in professional audio, video, and lighting equipment.
  • Perform board-level electronic diagnostics and component-level repairs using appropriate tools (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering equipment).
  • Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and testing of AVL gear to manufacturer specifications.
  • Document fault symptoms, diagnostic steps, and repair actions in service management systems.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain technical documentation, parts, and support.
  • Support field service calls and on-site diagnostics when necessary.
  • Assist with product modifications, upgrades, and custom integrations as required.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and ESD-compliant service bench/workshop.
  • Keep up to date with evolving AVL technologies and equipment.
