Responsibilities :
- Manage all aspects of the PMC Engineering group, including daily work allocation and supervision, and oversee the Contractor during the Engineering and Procurement phases of the project.
- Ensure PMC Engineering personnel are competent to perform their duties as outlined in the PMC Contract.
- Lead the development and implementation of engineering processes, procedures, and systems within the Engineering group.
- Ensure proper resourcing of the Engineering group with the appropriate disciplines and team size to meet contract requirements.
- Provide independent Project Management Consultancy services, technical opinions, and advice on project shortfalls, recovery plans, risk mitigation, and overall project progress during engineering and procurement phases.
- Participate in design reviews, considering constructability, testability, operability, maintainability, environmental factors, safety, fire protection, and material selection.
- Coordinate technical reviews and manage vendor document processing.
- Obtain Owner approval for engineering designs in accordance with contract requirements.
- Manage daily interactions between project disciplines such as Piping, Mechanical, Structural, E&I, and specialists.
- Participate in key customer reviews and meetings as required.
- Conduct succession planning and performance assessments within the engineering team.
- Ensure team adherence to procedures for efficiency and quality ('right first time').
- Provide development opportunities to enhance team members' experience and capabilities.
- Lead safety during site visits.
- Develop effective working practices for the project management team.
- Lead and coordinate technical and governance aspects throughout project stages.
- Define project objectives, organize the project team, assign responsibilities, and motivate team members towards project goals.
- Delegate work responsibly and ensure achievement of performance, cost, quality, and HSE targets.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders during project execution.
- Oversee interactions with contracting parties, owners, government bodies, and existing facilities.
- Manage complex issues across project phases and existing facilities.
- Lead the project team and contractors to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and controls.
- Engage with diverse cultures and backgrounds, resolving conflicts and challenges within a multicultural workforce.
- Conduct technical evaluations of bids, issue clarifications, and prepare evaluation reports and recommendations.
- Incorporate field-requested or initiated changes into engineering deliverables where applicable.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (minimum 4 years).
- Experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Experience working in GCC countries.
- Experience with FEED & EPC projects.
- Experience in PMC roles.
- Experience in offshore and upstream projects, with offshore project experience preferred.
- Experience with ADNOC projects is advantageous.
