Job Responsibilities
- Development of RFPs, briefs, and design strategies for master plan projects.
- Development of land use datasets with an understanding of various land use products, traffic networks, open spaces, and current real estate trends.
- Analyzing land use and products for revenue potential.
- Coordinating with internal teams across disciplines relevant to master planning, including feasibility, architecture, infrastructure, and delivery.
- Managing the in-house design team to deliver master plan feasibility projects aligned with management expectations.
- Reviewing master plan deliverables at all stages and ensuring compliance with DMT planning requirements (Vision, PCMP, Framework CMP, DMP).
- Liaising with Modon departments such as procurement, feasibility, marketing, and sales; conducting internal test fit designs and planning.
- Coordinating with consultants to analyze land use projects, recommend changes, and review submissions for alignment with project briefs.
- Ensuring compliance with all stakeholder requirements and providing regular design reviews and guidance.
- PRESENTING master plans to senior management and leadership as needed.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Master Planning, or Urban Design.
- Master's degree in Urban Design (preferred).
- Master's degree in Landscape Architecture (optional).
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- 15 to 18 years of experience in master planning or real estate master planning across various asset classes.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams including business units.
- Expertise in planning, architectural design, infrastructure, engineering, transportation, project management, procurement, and commercial functions.
- Extensive experience from visioning to detailed master planning stages.
- Understanding land use complexities and revenue-generating assets.
- Proficiency in urban design and master planning best practices and trends.
- Excellent time management and design skills.
- Proficiency in vision-level design thinking, communication, sketching (hand, digital, CAD).
- Skills in preparing master plan diagrams using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
- Experience in report writing and document preparation using Adobe InDesign, Word, PowerPoint.
- Experience interfacing with landscape architecture and public realm concepts, including hand sketches and Adobe Photoshop.
