Position - Civil Technician

Job Summary:

The Civil Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and minor construction tasks related to the building's civil infrastructure. This includes masonry, carpentry, painting, tiling, and general structural upkeep to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and visually maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine inspections and civil maintenance of walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, and other structural components.
  
• Perform repair work on concrete, masonry, plaster, tiles, and brickwork.
  
• Assist in carpentry tasks such as repairing wooden doors, windows, furniture, and fittings.
  
• Conduct painting, waterproofing, and surface finishing as required.
  
• Respond to maintenance requests related to structural damage, leaks, or deterioration.
  
• Assist in small-scale renovation or remodeling projects within the facility.
  
• Ensure civil repair works comply with safety standards, building codes, and specifications.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in work areas.
  
• Support other maintenance teams (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) where basic civil intervention is needed.
  
• Maintain records of work completed, tools used, and materials consumed.
  
• Monitor and manage material inventory related to civil work.
  

Qualifications:

• ITI, Diploma, or vocational training in Civil Engineering, Building Maintenance, or a related field.
  
• 24 years of experience in building maintenance or civil works, preferably in facility management.
  
• Sound knowledge of construction materials, finishing work, and structural repair techniques.
  
• Ability to read construction drawings and perform basic layout and measurements.
  
• Familiarity with safety standards and PPE requirements for civil tasks.
  
• Basic understanding of other MEP systems is a plus.
  
• Physically fit and capable of manual work.
  

Working Conditions:

• Work may involve exposure to dust, noise, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
  
• May require shift work, emergency call-outs, and extended hours during urgent repair needs.
