Driver - Light Duty

We are seeking a reliable and professional Light Duty Driver to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Light Duty Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport goods and materials within the city and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a customer-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

• Operate light duty vehicles to transport goods and materials to various locations in Dubai and surrounding areas
• Plan and optimize routes for efficient and timely deliveries
• Load, unload, and secure cargo in accordance with safety guidelines
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after each trip
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, delivery times, and any incidents or delays
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during pickups and deliveries
• Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or safety concerns to management promptly
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle
• Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license for the appropriate vehicle class
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a light duty driver
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of Dubai's road network and local traffic regulations
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong customer service orientation and communication abilities
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Ability to lift and handle light cargo (up to 50 lbs)
• Proficiency in using GPS and navigation tools
• Familiarity with digital logging systems and basic computer skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Basic English language proficiency for communication with customers and team members
