Overview of the role

We are seeking experienced General Repair Technicians to join our Toyota team in Al Ain.

As a General / Pro Technician, you will identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment and Special Service Tools. You will perform maintenance and repairs involving diagnosis, ensuring adherence to the 'Fix it Right' process to eliminate repeat repairs.

What you will do

• Perform routine maintenance and general mechanical repairs on vehicles.
• Utilize manual skills for technical and mechanical jobs.
• Assist the Technical Advisor in capturing data for Repair Support Requests and Branch Field Technical Reports submitted to the Aftersales Distributor Team for escalations.
• Be willing to learn through hands-on training.

Required skills to be successful

• 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Diagnostic Technician in a large automotive dealership, specializing in diagnosis and general repairs.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and Special Service Tools to inspect engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, A/C, electrical, and hybrid systems.
• Capable of basic diagnosis, unit repair, A/C parts replacement, and mechanical repairs.
• Proficient in English.

About the team

The role reports to the Workshop Manager and involves working in a busy workshop environment, interacting daily with Service Advisors, Controllers, Foremen, and co-Technicians.

What equips you for the role

• Diploma in Technical Certification, ITI (Industrial Training Institute NCVT Certificate), or ITC.
• 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Diagnostic Technician.
• Having a valid UAE driving license is an added advantage.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately for job records.
• Understanding and adherence to protocols and requirements of AFM Toyota After Sales.
