Business Unit Purpose:
The Financial Analysis business unit supports the company’s growth, profitability, and sustainability by providing data-driven insights and strategic financial guidance.
Job Purpose:
The jobholder will partner with business leaders to optimize financial performance and achieve strategic objectives and deliver actionable financial insights, identify key value drivers, and influence decision-making through proactive analysis and sound business judgment. This role serves as a critical partner between business and finance, providing comprehensive financial advisory and ensuring effective implementation of strategic initiatives.
Key Result Areas:
- Act as a strategic business partner to the senior management team by providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to drive decision-making and optimize business performance.
- Provide actionable insights to key decision-makers and collaborating with business unit leaders to enhance their understanding of performance and its impact on the broader organization.
- Identify and implement cost reduction and income enhancement initiatives, leveraging financial analysis to drive operational efficiency and profitability improvements.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of approved projects during implementation, providing decision support to leaders, while tracking business performance through KPIs, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions to identify any gaps or inefficiencies.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with business units to develop accurate plans aligned with corporate goals to ensure timely annual budget implementation and adhering to corporate timelines and strategic priorities.
- Promote effective collaboration between Business and Finance teams by ensuring clear communication and alignment on shared objectives, while also working with other functional partners to enhance processes like annual budgeting and business performance reviews.
- Formulate, scrutinize, and appraise business propositions for emerging opportunities, capital investments, and commercial accords, adhering to stringent investment parameters to be able to represent the business unit and support its leadership at the Investment Committee meetings.
- Maintain a strong financial control environment by implementing and monitoring policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure compliance, and protect Company interests.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related business field.
- MBA, master’s in finance, or relevant professional certification (CPA, CFA, CMA) is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with preferred experience in business partnering.
- Proven experience in major large-scale organizations is essential.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and insightful financial advice.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into compelling narratives through reports and presentations.
