A leading company in Dubai is seeking an SAP Assistant Manager to oversee SAP FICO operations. The role involves managing configurations, collaborating with technical teams, and optimizing financial processes. Candidates should have a strong background in SAP FICO and ABAP, along with extensive experience in financial consulting. This position is crucial for bridging functional and technical aspects of SAP solutions to meet business needs effectively.
The SAP Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing SAP FICO functional operations and ensuring effective collaboration with technical teams.
The role requires expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO), as well as the ability to understand ABAP coding, support custom developments, and optimize SAP processes.
This position plays a critical role in bridging the functional and technical aspects of SAP solutions to efficiently meet business needs.
Strategic
*SAP FICO Implementation & Support
- Configure and support SAP FICO modules, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling.
- Provide end-to-end solutions for financial processes and ensure seamless integration with MM, SD, and PP modules.
*Technical Collaboration & Customization
- Understand ABAP code, debug technical issues, and guide ABAP developers in implementing optimized custom developments.
- Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to provide functional specifications and ensure efficient system enhancements.
- Ensure technical modifications align with SAP best practices and reduce unnecessary custom coding.
*Process Optimization & Compliance
- Identify areas for process improvement and automation within SAP FICO.
- Ensure financial and controlling configurations comply with industry standards and internal policies.
- Support SAP S/4HANA migration projects and digital transformation initiatives.
Process/Operational
- Collaborate with internal business units to understand financial requirements and provide SAP solutions.
- Work with external vendors and SAP solution partners to implement and maintain SAP systems.
- Train end users and provide documentation on system functionalities and updates.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Finance, or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP FICO functional consulting with technical exposure to ABAP.
Experience in handling SAP FICO projects and integrations with other modules (MM, SD, PP).
Specific Knowledge
Strong expertise in SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) – GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting.
- Ability to read, debug, and understand ABAP code to review custom developments.
- Experience with user exits, BAPIs, BADIs, LSMW, IDOCs, and enhancement frameworks.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and financial process automation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
