About The Ports International Operating Company
Trading as Noatum Ports, the Ports International Operating Company, PIOC, is a strategic entity responsible for the development, construction, and standardization of operations across AD Ports Group international ports and terminals.
About the Role
The role of the VP - International Ports Development is to support the CEO of International Ports (Asia & Africa), playing a vital role in providing strategic advice and operational support to optimize the performance of terminal and port operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategies for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness during and after transition, aligning with overall strategic goals within international ports and terminals.
- Report to the CEO and PIOC senior management on investment priorities, project expenses, and critical operational matters to support the company's vision and goals.
- Support the CEO of International Ports Asia & Africa in liaising with other Group Units and Clusters on operations, budgeting, forecasting, and project delivery to achieve favorable financial results.
- Advise on the development, implementation, and rollout of new products, operational processes, and infrastructure.
- Guide the CEO on implementing necessary tools, technology solutions, and customer service facilities for successful digital and non-digital service delivery.
- Assist in stakeholder engagement and communication to foster collaboration and operational alignment across the organization.
- Support other departments in establishing SLAs and performance targets for internal and external services.
- Assist the CEO with PIOC expansion activities, including investments, acquisitions, and alliances.
- Identify opportunities for operational growth, cost savings, and revenue enhancement.
People Management Responsibilities
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members, departments, and external partners.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Be a highly skilled and strategic professional supporting the region CEO in enhancing the performance and competitiveness of ports and terminals through operational advisory.
- Advise on developing, updating, and implementing operational strategies, roadmaps, and procedures to ensure operational control.
- Translate strategies into actionable goals for growth, performance, and profitability of services operations.
- Drive analytical decision support to ensure value in deals and targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Ports Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience as an adviser to senior management or in a senior technical role.
- Proven ability to build capabilities within large organizations.
- Experience with agile development, preferably as a Product Owner or similar role.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex messages and trade-offs effectively and telling a compelling story.
