Job description

RAKGAS is seeking for a result-oriented Assistant Business Development Manager - CNG ,who responsible for the CNG and LNG sales and conversion of automobiles, buses, trucks, mining equipment’s and industries from alternative fuels to CNG/LNG. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in growing the business by targeting B2B customers such as fleet owners, leasing companies, logistics providers, industries etc. The candidate will be responsible for managing client interactions, promoting the advantages of CNG/LNG, and identifying and working with vendors for vehicle conversions and retrofits.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development and Sales:

  • Lead Generation: Actively generate leads through networking, regular visits, attending industry events, and online prospecting.
  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and pursue B2B prospects, including fleet owners, lease companies, logistics providers, Industries and public transportation entities, for CNG/LNG conversion solutions.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies aimed at converting customers from diesel, petrol, and other alternate fuels to CNG/LNG.
  • Pitching & Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals showcasing the economic and environmental benefits of CNG/LNG.

Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends (local and global), competitors, and regulatory changes to position CNG/LNG as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative fuel.
  • Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, conversion rates, and customer feedback to improve processes and drive growth.

Contract and Vendor Management:

  • Contract Management: Draft, modify, and manage existing CNG contracts.
  • Documentation: Managing and record keeping of all contractual documentation and approvals as per the company process.
  • Credit Compliance: Ensuring timely receipt of payments from the new customers as per the agreements and company’s credit policy.
  • Strategy: Assist gas business team/CNG team in preparation of pricing strategy, business plans and budgets.
  • Vendor Management: Identify and coordinate with vehicle conversion vendors to ensure a seamless retrofit/conversion process for customer vehicles. Prepare a detailed analysis of new vendor for the management team.
  • Integration between Vendors and Customers: Ensure that the conversion happens as per the plan by effective integration and coordination between vendors and customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Engineering, preferably Oil &Gas, Energy, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Candidates having post-graduation in business/marketing management will be preferred
  • Additional qualifications or certifications in automotive, CNG/LNG technology, or sales will be an advantage.
  • At least 5 to 7 years’ techno-commercial experience in business development, sales or marketing within the energy sector, specifically related to CNG/LNG mobility and virtual pipeline.
  • Experience in working with fleet owners or large transport companies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CNG/LNG or alternate fuel systems is highly desirable.
