Job summary

Job description

As an Assistant Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of basic care to eligible staff members and their dependents. The role focuses on supporting registered nurses and physicians during procedures and examinations, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to meet service needs.

In this role, you will:
  1. Provide and prepare surgical equipment for minor surgeries and assist doctors accordingly.
  2. Monitor and maintain stock of health education leaflets, consumables, and sterile instruments, ordering supplies as needed.
  3. Participate in planning and providing basic patient care under supervision, such as applying dressings, slings, splints, and support bandages.
  4. Assist in patient assessments, documenting findings and reporting them promptly.
  5. Record vital signs and other health data in the EPR system as directed.
  6. Collect and arrange transportation for specimens and laboratory or pharmacy items, ensuring proper documentation.
  7. Explain medical instructions to patients and provide information to visitors or callers.
  8. Continuously assess risks and ensure a hazard-free, infection-controlled environment.
Minimum requirements for consideration:
  1. Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a Dubai Healthcare setting.
  2. Diploma in Nursing with a minimum duration of 18 months.
  3. Eligible for licensing as an Assistant Nurse with Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
  4. Experience in Primary Care or Paediatrics is advantageous.
  5. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
